    Great, great, GREAT shot but... isn't the challenge to use the first letter of your user name? (Unless, of course, this bird starts with a "J" and I just don't know what it is!)

    I believe that's some type of a jay bird.

    It is a Jay there are 11 or 12 different jays this is a western scrub jay I just found this theme way funny J wear and Jay it would be .Thank you for the nice comments Jay or Jeff :D

    What a beautiful way to start off this challenge. I think you hit a home run with your "J(-ay) for Jeff" shot. The detail in the feathers is terrific and the composition is just perfect. LOVE it! clap.gifclapclap.gif

    That's OK. I was clueless about the expression "Clocking Off" (on your "early" entry) and had to google it see if my inference was correct.

    I think that it is technically perfect, but it doesn't speak to me. There is no place for my eye to go inside the frame - it goes right to the center and stops. Do you have another crop that might make a more interesting composition?

    Really like the pine tree framing. Focus is excellent, I like the little bit of sun coming through the trees, & the colors & exposure are spot-on. Nice shot!
