Fighter not a Lover
Had a photo shoot with a MMA fighter last week. Was quite fun.
1) Connect

Three lights. 1 behind the bag toward camera (the one you can see), 1 camera right and one camera left.
2) Through the Cage
Two lights; one behind and to the right of talent, the second one in front of talent and above.
3) Taped Fist
Two lights; one above and in front of fist, second behind talent.

That second image is REALLY powerful. The concept, combined with the lighting and processing REALLY put it over the top.
The other two are pretty doggone good as well......but sheesh....when you post 'em up next to #2 , well...........#2 steals the show.

r3t1awr3yd, sorry, I currently don't have a good BW.
Foques, on the processing, I don't remember the exact, but I believe I took it into photoshop. Added some contrast, HDR toning, High Pass overlay, and colorized it to blue hues. In Lightroom, I added some clarity, then took the shadows to blue and the highlights to yellow and added a slight vignette.
