I read that yesterday. I wish they didn't equivocate so much between the Sigma and Tamron version of those lenses. Come right out and say that the Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 is better than the Tamron counterpart (if it is). The same is true with several of the other lenses where they basically call it a toss-up.

When it comes to third party lenses, sometimes you have to choose a compromise. With the 70-200, you either get great AFS and lesser IQ like the Sigma or with Tamron you get slow AFS and better IQ.

    That list could be longer:

    + Sigma 70mm f/2.8 Macro
    + Sigma 85mm f/1.4 EX
    + Tokina 100mm f/2.8 Macro
    + Sigma 150mm f/2.8 EX OS Macro
    + Tamron 180mm f/3.5 SP Macro

    ...

I'm surprised the unicorn Tokina 50-135 wasn't mentioned. An absolute AWESOME lens for the five seconds it existed.

    No Tamron 17-50mm 2.8 non-VC? For shame!
