Some birds

Hello,

I've been trying to get more into photographing birds and thought I'd share a few from the last month or so.

In the fall many raptors migrate south from Canada. When they come to Lake Superior they follow the shore rather than cross. There is a cliff just north of Duluth, MN known as Hawk Ridge which is situated right in their flight path, providing an excellent opportunity to see and photograph.

Most of these are from Hawk Ridge, but a few others are here and there.

C /C welcome - I hope I have the id's correct. :rolleyes

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

I think you just made a bunch of people here jealous. Not one but two different owls and a bunch of others that as Harry said we don't see much of here. They are all great but I have to say those eyes on the Sharp Shinned Hawk are really intense.
