Bill: by ginger 10/23/2005
I was looking for birds, of course...............Bill was reading by the marsh/pond where there were two birds, refusing to fly. So I wandered.
He has no idea I took this photo of him resting. I made an e-mail size to send him, smile!
ginger (And it is in color, he is in color, too! remember I usually work photos of him up in black and white, but this is definitely a color photo)
After all is said and done, it is the sweet tea.

He looks so relaxed and content. You did a nice job capturing that.

The road right definitely is a player in the shot as is. The first thing I did was hold up a piece of paper over the right side to see how it would look cropped almost square. Looked pretty good to me, actually. But you are a queen of cropping, so perhaps the thought already occured to you?

obsessed with cropping!
I wish I had a wife. Maybe I would even get a meal!
Thank you so much.
Re the road, yes, that is the second shot where I have left the road in, in a week. Both were off to the right, not exactly according to the rules, but I thought and still do think, that the road added something.
I only put the road into the original photo as I couldn't take it without the road and have it look good (I crop in the camera mostly, meaning to crop more later).
But, if possible I like to use the whole photo. I even hate to have to take some off in straightening the horizon. It often throws off the balance, I think.
I don't know why the road works, but it does to me..........
Thanks so much everyone for stopping and commenting and all. I love reading all the comments.
