This was my first modeling shoot ever, the model is my wife, and I posed her as a garage scene because its one of my favorite type of photos. What do you think. The photo is HDR except her skin, and that is done by layering in Photoshop, the lighting is done by a dewalt shop light and a gold collapsable reflector.

For the first time it is a pretty good capture. Remember, bright areas come forward and dark areas receede from the eye. If you turn the photo upside down you will see how quickly your eye goes to the tool chest. That area needs to be toned down to get the eye back to your cute wife.

HDR is not really my thing , so I do not like it. But besides that it is not a bad picture.
The second one is really top, that is more like it. Just great.

It's a great idea but not my cup of tea. I want to see some face with that great set of legs.

Number two is pretty hot IMO. The bonnet being up on the solstice really bothers my eyes but the idea that a woman can still be womanly (with pretty awesome legs) like that under a car is pretty hot.

On the other hand, the one with her legs up kinda destroys the irony of a lady working under a car and really ruins it for me (personally).

Food for though from a guy who loves cars :)

The first one makes me cringe...I just think hot sparks, no gloves and well... lol3.gif

As far as model shots, I do like both of them. And Hackbone's suggestion of toning down the tool box is a good one. You need a bit more light under the helmet and I think a wee bit lower for shooting.

If she wore some Tillman's she would lol3.gif

I was working on something a few days ago and since it was only a couple inches of weld, gloves, helmet, weld. Of course, big piece of crap landed in my lap lol3.gif

The second update, hmmmmm. Its missing the style that you have in the second initial picture. I believe that it is because of the standpoint and the position of the legs. The black spot just under need the left leg is weird and could call for all kind of impressions.
But again that is matter of taste, and for me ladies with spread legs are not charming. It is just to intuitive (whats on a minds mind , dr S. Freud)

Its a black spot where she spun the tires on that car in the garage floor.
