Don't use attachments. IQ is pretty poor and resolution is very limited. Use links in img /img pragmas (pragmas are in [ ] blocks).

Photo # 1 looks soft and # 2 could be cropped tighter.

My initial reaction is image 1 is way over cropped. But as another poster mentioned the loss in quality could be due to posting in this forum directly (and I believe this forum has automatic re-sizing so if you post an image too large it will get resized and the quality really suffers when that happens). The exif data has been stripped so I can't tell the focal length used.
Image 2 appears better - and has excellent timing. But again it looks soft - could be over cropping or could be forum software. As mentioned, you're better off linking.

    Now THAT made a difference.
Shot 1 is still way over cropped. 130mm is just way too short a focal length to shoot across the field like that.
Shot 2 Nice isolation shot of the catch. Good sharpness and framing
shot 3: probably the weak shot of the lot. Focus is on #26 who isn't really involved in the play - receiver and defender are too small in the frame. Because of the missed focus I don't think cropping tighter will help.
shot 4: Nice and sharp and always like the kick-up of pellets. What keeps it from being even better is you don't see either player's eyes
shot 5: best of the series. Fantastic shot - nice timing/framing. Great action, good sharpness and timing again is very good.

Overall, if you get rid of the shots that were simply too far away for accurate focus/detail you'd have an excellent series here.

    Agreed. Not a bad series...
