I turn the corner and out of nowhere these 2 people in stretchy colorful sheets appear.
They were slowly making their way down the block doing poses and acrobats.
Luckily I had my camera around my neck.
My guess is street art. My guess is that this is street photography.

NYC is so weird--I love it.

    #1 and #3--my favorites.

My high school was a head of the trend--way long ago, they dressed like this and did a routine to the theme song from ghostbusters. So when viewing these, that's all I hear.

What a great photo op. I think I would have tried to get some more reaction shots from the passers by. #4 and 5 work nicely as pure surreal images, but my favorite in the set is the first one.

    Thanks.

I agree Richard- I always like to get the reaction of the audience but this one came and went so fast I didn't even think of it.

I like this guy with the cigarette. He's walking by like he sees this all the time. almost not paying them any mind.

It's a really fun shoot, Nelson, but it makes very clear why HCB preferred overcast days.

Like the newest photo best. The wider perspective with the peds is helpful. Also that and #1 (the other one I like) have the facial impression on the green figure, improving the story.

BTW, I encourage you to put the text after the photos when posting so that the photos are seen first and not the words which might take away from first visual impressions.

15524779-Ti.gif almost. I don't think either of the reactions shots, are reaction enough and the bright light makes exposure difficult and actually a fill would of been needed to properly get those reactions clearly...............and I'm not a Gliden fan :D

However I really like #2. There you used the brightness to it's best advantage and created two strong silhouetts, one the regular dressed person and two the artist. Along with that you have a nice hilight on top.

Anyway that's how I see it.

I like the series, good use of color. I agree that having other people in the image adds to the depth of the moment.
