Albany Open Handball Tournament
The 2011 Albany open was held at the Colony Courts in Albany, New York on Nov. 18, 19 and 20th. All age groups both male and female participated in the event with over 140 entries. Here are some of the action shots captured during play. If you have never played handball give it a try. Handball is one of the most demanding intense games out there. To develop skills for tournament level play takes years of dedication. Hope you enjoy the photo.
#1 Aim for the corner and keep the ball low or bang it to the ceiling.
#2 David Fink ranked 6th in the nation drives into his power serves up to 80 miles an hour.
#3 It's all about foot work.
#4 The back wall shot with an open hand.
#5 Doubles can get intense.
#6 Timing is everything.
#7 One can hit the ball with an open hand or as shown here a fist shot.
#8 Once the volley starts one never stops moving.
#9 All types enjoy watching a good handball match!:ivar
#10 In the court it is just you and the ball with 5 walls (don't forget the ceiling).
#11 At times the court just seems too small:nah.
#12 Never take your eyes of the ball; if you do it is all over.
#13 Then there are times one just needs a time out to regroup:dunno.

This is when burst mode is great. Also as a player myself I am aware of what is happening and can anticipate the action. It's the lighting that's a major issue and at times having to shoot through thick pixie glass.
