Smugmug and Lightroom problems...help.

I'm confused.

I'm not able to do what I want, which is to sync lightroom 3 with smugmug to show how many pictures are in my galleries inside Lightroom in the "publish" pane.

I tried the following:

download all smugmug photos
unzip all smugmug photos
import all smugmug photos into lightroom
publish.

I THOUGHT that this would show my count and solve my issue but what happnened was that my count was good UNTIL I deleted the local folders that I imported from....then everything went back to zero!

My next surprise was when i went to smug mug and found that all my pics were duplicated (with modified file names) Yikes!!!

I just spent 2 hours deleting duplicates.



Is there ANY WAY to get Lightroom to recognize the count of pics in Smugmug?

The Lightroom publisher will only recognize images published by the publisher. Existing images on your site will not be recognized so the image count in a Lightroom publish folder won't be the same as a gallery on your site.
