Hey guys

I recently bought a little bit of kit so I can take a visual diary of my fiance's pregnancy.

Think I'm getting the hang of the lighting side (using 1 umbrella in these shots).

Would love any feedback / advice

Good start, but a few remarks.. These shots are best taken at a later stage when the belly is a bid more full. I usually try to make them between 7-8 months.
The second aspect is the use of black, that seldom works well for such a happy moment. Unless you really go LK. Using white works much better, especially in HK.
The poses and composition as posted here are very common and seen a thousand times. Try to make some in another environment, maybe the sofa, the child-room kids playground etc.... Be careful with the light, I would use soft light (large source surface, and close to the model). On your pictures the light is very hard .
You might want to have look on how shoot these, I just posted one. Not that I will claim that it is a great shot. But it show the pregnancy from another angle.
