OK, I ditched the waterfall shot. Just didn't do it for me. So I am going with one of these two shots. I posted this first one already, but the second one is new.

Which one? I don't expect to win... I have seen what has been entered and :cry . But the experience is good for me.

So, here they are.
"FALLING"

"IN THE GARDEN"

Peace.

Yes, I would say #2, also. I might check to see if there is a blue cast in the rocks, but it is a great shot.

The first one is very good, but the colors are not as "grabbing", IMO.

However, I LOVE the title "Falling" for that photo. Pity, the other one doesn't have a water falls, too. Great title. Nice photos, Johno!

I like No 1...but I can't fit the whole picture on my screen so it's tough to get the "big picture". Pardon the pun....it's not punny at all.

I like number 1 myself, but 2 is very nice as well.

As noted above there seems to be a blue cast to them both and if it were reduced I think the colors would have more pop.

    WOW! 3 for #1 and 3 for #2... It's a tie. I guess I need more DGrinners advice.

As far as the blue, it's killing me. :cry I have tried to take out the blue and no matter what I do, it still looks as if there is blue in the shot.

    Working on it.

    Peace.

#1 - the tie is on (or is that "tie one on"?)

The angle really makes me feel unstable - like i'm 'falling' (the title).

I wish I could help a bit on the color cast but it is a week spot with me as well.

I played with it a little and I think something can be done using Lab curves. Check out the thread in the PS forum and see if you can figure it out.

You might also ask Rutt for some advice as he seems to understand this stuff.

wow...both are simply stunning photographs... even without the changes. i can't bring myself to say which one is the one you should enter because both are worthy of entry...

    -daniel-

but i if i had to decide i'd say number 1. i think it has more "individuality" becouase of the tilt. *hope i helped*

I am having problems myself. Can't choose............and it is Nature's color: I have no idea.

both have been improved drastically with the color correction - but i stil love number two - it just tells more of a story for me, there is more for my eyes to follow and so many natural nature colors. well done.

I still prefer #2 as well, although both are very nice. That AB curves trick is super for these kinds of landscapes - thanks Mr. Margulisclap.gif

Go with the first - its different, sharp, eye catching and brilliant. If I saw that in a gallery I would buy it without a second look. Three thumbs up. Bruce
