Last night my daughter came and grabbed me, telling me I had to come shoot this shot. It's nice to have family keeping an eye out out for opportunities. :D

This was taken though our upstairs window.

Beautiful view from that window, Brad! Many times the sunsets are pretty even without clouds. You got a good one with the moon! (and either a star or an airplane to the left!)

Thanks. I am not sure but I think it's the planet Venus.

We have been getting a few of those glow on the horizon, no cloud sunsets recently. It adds a nice relaxing way to see the day fade away.

Wow, beautiful, Brad. Excellent earthshine moon you get there. That's a hell of a view from that window. All in all a cracking shot. I think that might be Jupiter.

    Cresent Sunset Encore
    Thanks Joel.

Tonight's encore was not as well positioned and I had to resort to a portrait shot to get them all in, but I thought the difference was interesting.

Very nice again. So here you've been camping out around the southwest getting shots when all you really had to do was look out the window. :giggle

    Thanks Schmoo and Doug.

I agree, only the first shot has the impact I was looking for. The second night just didn't have the right balance.

One of those opportunities that are easy to miss if your not opening your eyes and looking to see what's around you in your everyday life. I'm glad my daughter kicked me and got me to pay attention. rolleyes1.gif

Dan, Yep, that's two votes for Jupiter. I'm going with that. thumb.gif
