I tend to disagree with Brett. I rather go for picture one. The blur in #2 is a bit to artificial for me.
But that is a matter of taste.
I wonder if it is grain or noise that has been added ? Can you tell us ?
NIK filters provide a nice grain by emulating Photo paper. Gaussian noise is not the same.
