Ha - this green is reminiscent of your kiwi! Of these, the most visually interesting to me is #4 for concept, color & reflection. GP

I agree - #4, but I don't really get green ice? #4 needs a bit of clean-up in the black areas.

Good start and cool colors. The downside is that the first thing that came to mind when I saw green ice was yellow snow.:D

I also like #4, mainly because I don't know why the rest are green. Have you thought about trying them in black and white to see what that looks like?

    I wanted glowing Ice
Why green? and what is # 2 a picture of?
Why? I wanted Glowing Ice. #2 is the Full Ice Cube Tray before cubes come out. I made Blue Ice (in #3) using Tonic Water with Quinine, The green Ice came from a Yellow Highlighter mixed with water. Lighting was three black lights and a flashlight. Highlighters and Quinine glow with fluorescence under black lights..
the first thing that came to mind when I saw green ice was yellow snow.
lol.... not the image association I was looking for.

#4 for concept, color & reflection

Thanks, I may do some more shooting or PP with this glass shots, This setup was my 2nd part of the shoot and by then things were melting, glowing and getting messy on a glass table in the dark! Maybe more of a story can be told with the glass and glowing Ice...

I had just googled a few things last night and was reading how helpful tonic water and a black light can be for this kind of thing. Add me to the chorus of admirers for #4!

    Ice in a glass revisited
I cleaned up #4 some, This is the strongest 'ICE' Image with the glass I have thus far.

Black Light Martini, Alien Juice on the Rocks, Light and Ice....
    ICE Drink 1

A possible an Entry replacement, or Subject to Reshoot, maybe with less green Cubes/Drink..

Of these I like #4 best.... I'm just not digging the green thing... but that's just me. :)

Better - maybe try to take out some of the reflection on the glass where the glowing drink is?

    New Glowing Ice Images
Couple of NEW Ice in a glass shots. No Green today.

#5 'On the Rocks' (my current Favorite)

    #6

Do not know what to do from here, I got the image I was seeking in blue, green, and purple..., #5 could be a new entry. I used up 2 bottles of tonic water making blue glow-in-the-dark cubes. There must be other things to freeze...

I prefer the blue (#5) to the green (#4) but find them all impressive!

FYI Interesting Observation. Last Year at this time the Dgrin # 65 was "freeze or flow". I entered this Photo of Ice on 12/6/2010 and it was my First dgrin Challenge! So I guess this makes Ice dgrin #91 a one year mark of participating in dgrin Challenges for me! Yeah! I have really enjoyed the last year of photo challenges.

Freeze or Flow entry one year ago.

I remember Freeze or Flow well. I worked with ice back then and remember how hard it was to make it interesting. I also colored mine, but didn't like the result, so went with something totally different. Ice by itself just isn't pretty.

    Blue - much better!

Blue is kind of classic for ice, but I kind of liked the original green #4. It was different.

#7 still on the rocks just purple

This has some unusual color and I manged to get the Whole glass in the photo! (unlike my entry #5 from above). I'm going to stew on this purple, while my next batch of tonic water cubes freeze.

Still Shooting.... I tried this first dropping the cubes into the water with a flash.... but no splash worth capturing resulted. Continued using black light with time exposure and a flash light for lighting.

    C & C welcome

I prefer the last one (in the martini glass) to any of the others... both the variation of color and the full glass work well for me. Nice work!
