I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Excellent work, Tom! I really like the lines in this one, and it is a beautiful scene.

I really appreciate the nice words, Lauren. I've been shooting this old mill for years. They still keep it working.

It truly is a neat old place, Joel. It's probably the most popular site along the Blue Ridge Parkway. It's rare to get a shot of it with no people crawling all around.

Yes definitely a nice picture. I photographed that mill in July. There is some nice scenery along that route.

    Thanks for the comment, John.

I've traveled roads all over this great nation and I don't know of a single one that offers the overall grand experience of riding the Blue Ridge Parkway. I've ridden the Parkway from one end to the other ( about 480 miles....and , if you include the adjoining Skyline Drive, which I do, the total is about 600 miles ) 6 times....two on my motorcycle....and I can't wait to do it for the seventh time.

What a wonderful place. The water is so calm. You found a winner of a place and photographed it beautifully thumb.gif

How did I miss this earlier? Tom, I love it! I wish I had more readily available mills to shoot, like this one. thumb.gif

I haven't been to the Blue Ridge in decades! Looks like I need to get back there! :D

    Keep them coming!

    Hey Mary,

This old mill and I are good friends. I'm hoping to get a good shot of it over Christmas with snow everywhere. I got one a couple of years ago like that and it was a great one.

Glad you like it, Don. The Appalachians are full of neat old things to shoot. Get yourself on over there and have a good time.

As always, I appreciate your support,
