Football season wrap up

The High School & Semi-Pro seasons here in DC & Baltimore ended two weeks ago & I was only able to shoot 6 games this year (vacations & out-of-town weddings) :cry :cry The Mark IV is a BEAST & was spot on 95% of the time! The 7D, ummm not so much. It was hit or miss & left me with a ton of OOF images (drives me crazy to see some of the "would be great" shots). The good news is that Canon did a warranty exchange even though its a 2 year old body & I'm waiting on the new one to arrive. Hopefully, the AF on the replacement functions as designed!!! Based on previous feedback from the members here, I really made efforts this year to:

1. Shoot tight, crop tighter
2. Not cut players arms & feet off (while it still happened, it was minimal compared to last season)
3. Shoot through the end of the play

Below are my favorites from this season and C&C is welcomed! The winter season starts in two weeks & I'm locked in with 2 teams. Thanks in advance!!!

Why are they all so well exposed and in focus? Wheres the motion blur and funky cycling lights? I dont understand..How many strobes did you use? Laughing.gif

1DMKIV...is so last year. Why dont you sell it to me, so you can get the new 1DX?

    Honestly, great shots Travis!

    Frank:

Thanks for the response! To be honest, I do very little post processing these days (it just takes too damn long!!!). I shoot 100% RAW, convert to jpeg in ACR & apply Curves adjustments in CS4. Simply put: images from the MKIV are crisp, clean, tack sharp & (in most cases) need very little PP. Now, images 7 & 14 were shot with the 7D & needed sharpening & noise reduction. The 1DX sounds nice but I truly am in love with the MKIV. I'm thinking I may break down & buy another one! :D
