    Looks like you added some blur in photoshop (and perhaps pumped up the blue?). I like it, but I bet I'd like the original more.

    Apparently called a "Limbal Ring"...not to be confused with several other rings around the iris which are caused by heavy metal deposits and are harmful, the Limbal ring is caused by optical properties (I think) and so is not harmful. :)

    Great eyes on this child. :)
