Went out to take some Fall picture but we already missed any color (central texas) so we did what we could.

this one is more for us but I thought it turned out nice. Downtown Georgetown in front of the court house all lit up for Christmas

I know this is a digital forum but I got my 120mm film back from one of the other shoots

youll have to excuse the loss of quality as I had to take a picture of the 5x5 prints with my camera to get them in a digital form. They are a bit darker than they should be but you get the idea.

I LOVE the first three photos.
The bokeh is amazing to me.
    Especially in the 3rd one.

    Like #s 1, 2 and 5 a lot.

    Now to the nits.

In # 2 there's a really hard shadow across her cheek from the glasses. Maybe clone that out??

In 6 & 7 you might turn her a bit. Flat to the camera is making her look wider than she really is. Maybe just a little angle??

Anyway, nice series, nits being just that.

Now that you point out the shadow it does bug me quite a bit. I guess I over looked it or something haha. In picture #7, I was just using up the last two frames in the film. It was just a fun goofy shot. The other one was similar but with her hands on her hips and a little more angle but some how the exposure on the top half of the picture didnt come out. Not sure if its from the film or who ever processed the film did something weird. Either way the negative is screwed :(

Nice series, I do like 3 and 4. The grain and afterwork are just right for the setting and expression.
The colored version are just a bit to busy on the background. But that is a personal taste.

Does the jacket in the #2 shot seem incredibly black to everyone else (and by that I mean people with calibrated monitors), because I expect my MacBook Pro to produce good images on screen, but I saw this on another machine today (work) and I was like woah...there's all that detail...

Amazing shots..... Both the color ones and B&W.

Are the first three all natural light?

S&S-I see a good amount of detail in the jacket on a plain-jane monitor.

all shots were with natural lighting other than the 1st B&W on the fence. I used a reflector on that one. I actually do not own any lighting equipment but would love to get a single strobe with a soft box that I can take out on location for some fill light. Unfortunately I do not know what to look at brand wise or even how powerful. Been meaning to either ask or just read around about that.

As for monitors, I do not believe any of mine have been calibrated in anyway and the computer I use to edit the photos is ~9 years old.
