Couple shots from Chile & Bolivia

Figured I'd post a couple, as nobody on these forums has ever been to either of these places. Well, that or when I asked for suggestions, nobody piped up ;-)

So this is sunset showing the amphitheater in Valle de la Luna, near San Pedro de Atacama in Chile:

This is the sunset on the Salar de Uyuni salt flat in Bolivia. I got lucky with the clouds; just what I wanted to add some color to the world's largest salt flat. After 2 weeks in wind and sand, I only had to heal about 125 dust spots in this one since I shot at f/16. Thankfully, Aperture's healing tool is fantastic!

More pictures at some point, when I catch up a bit with work ;-)

Fabulous shots, Bill. That first shot looks like Valley of Fire, and the second shot looks like Badwater -- only bigger! What a fabulous adventure you are apparently on.

Some really good work, Bill. I've enjoyed seeing this series.

Are you sure you're on the same planet as I am? This is seriously good stuff.

sweetness! my fav is num 2 on your first post. i think it might do with a little contrast boost, though, especially in the foreground.

Yeah, I could do a little more PP work on some of them. A never-ending quest, as I don't have Marc's post skills ;-)

    A couple more:

Rare James flamingo (white, black legs) at Laguna Hedionda:

Earlier sunset shot on Salar de Uyuni while the sun was still up:

And a couple sunrise shots from Ojo de Perdiz, near the hotel I stayed at 4700 meters. These were shot around 5000 meters. It was DARNED COLD so imagine the pain my fingers went through as my gloves were not sufficient for the early AM :-)
