The overcast sky looked better in the reflection on the pond.

    nightowl,

What would really help us here is if you were more clear about why you're posting these shots. If it's because you want to enter one in the challenge, then the best thing to do is to put them all in one thread and say, "I'm thinking about entering these shots, what do you think?"

If you just want to share your images, then they really belong in different threads. This one would go in landscapes. Your otter would go in nature, etc.

    Great shot...

Is it intended for entry in the challenge?

But as I said in the Otter thread. I think you are posting in the wrong forum. This forum is intended for discussion of photos to be entered in the Dgrin challenges.

You want to share them in the forum to which they fit. If it were me I would put this one in the landscape forum.

Many of the others belong in the nature/wildlife forum.

CLICK HERE for tips and guidlines to help you figure out the way Dgrin works

Welcome to the forum and thanks for sharing your pics, but if they are in the wrong place the right audience will not see them and you will not get many comments or help when you want it.

I am unclear as to how to post into the proper threads. I would like critique of my work in order to improve. Any suggestions are welcomed

Cool, glad you're here, and this place can really help you improve.

Here's the deal: The challenges forum is specifically for posting for the challenges. You can post your own thread for hopefuls, but your entry has to go in the official challenge thread in this forum.

It sounds like you want to have a more general discussion about your work. What will work best for you is to slow down a bit on the posting, and whenever possible put multiple images in one post. Let us know what kind of help you want. Sometimes people just want to share, and other times they're looking for specific help. It's hard to know if you don't tell us, especially because you're new and we don't know you yet.

You can read up on all you need to know about all the forums here. Please take the time to understand how the forums work before you post anymore. You'll save yourself a lot of trouble and get a lot more value from this wonderful resource if you understand how to use it.
