September Wedding

Finished a while ago and never posted... there are kind of a lot here, so consider yourself warned :)

This was a beachfront wedding in Amelia Island. It was a small destination wedding, and the were lucky that all of their family could come. The reception was just dinner, speeches/prayers (they were a very religious bunch), and cake.

I felt that I really did some growing with this wedding... I started stepping into my own style a little bit.

C&C welcome :)

These are beautiful! I love your use of thirds in 3, 13, 19 and 21. It definitely shows your use of personal style in the images and makes them much more interesting than if they had been at other angles. I'm shooting a winter wedding in the snow in 2 weeks and it's been a couple of months since my last wedding, so these are inspiring!

These are really good. Nice and clean...well exposed...thoughtful composition.

    Thanks for sharing.

I think that at this point it's really just finessing / fine tuning, since you have a solid foundation. Eg:
    - #3 separating the bride from the lamp would have made it even cleaner
    - #4 making sure the frame line doesn't intersect with the bride's head by moving slightly to the left
    - #6 the lighting is great but I would love to see other angles... not sure it's the most flattering (her nose crosses the cheek so it looks longer than in other photos)
    - #21 is slightly underexposed

So as you can see it's really just finessing, and you have some really strong emotional shots and a really good eye for composition... can't wait to see the next one :D

12 is really cute, great capture of personality in that one. Looks like a lot of fun.

Thanks so much, guys. RE: #21 - I intentionally brought that one down quite a bit for emotional/artsy effect... she was kind of lost in her prayer there so I wanted it to have a very quiet feel. Whether I achieved that... who knows? :)

    Thanks again, really good notes!
