Headed North today as there was snow in Sedona. Spent a few hours chasing light and attempted my first pano.

Used Photomerge in CS4- cropped, and some processing.

I am seeing only a distorted image - not a pano.

You have to view this in Full Image. It is a beautiful mountain vista that you have captured, I love red/orange tones and this mountain range is very stunning. One suggestion that may or may not work and that would be to try and darken the sky, which would give more contrast with the mountains. I would try to darken in curve layers and possibly set one of the blend modes to multiply and check the effects. nice work for your first Pano!

    Thanks Doug-

These were taken at 5:20pm after the sun had already set. I missed the last flare of color when I was trying to find a place to shoot this from. I'll try to play with the sky a little bit to see what I can get.

    Thanks

    Huh?....

Nice work as usual. I saw the other stream shott you posted also. Great work. I agree, if you can get a little more out of your skies would be helpful, but as I've said before, you can only work with what is avail at the time you are shooting. Once Again, nice work.

It wasn't showing the first several hours when I responded above. I see the pano today though. nod.gif

Cool scene, literally. I was there this past summer and there wasn't all that white stuff at 100 degrees.

I'm a sucker for panos, but add snow (one of my favorites things) and sedona (one of my favorite places) and you've got a heck of winner in that shot for me. Great job Aaron (as always).

Excellent, Aaron! I'd never know it was your first pano. :D
