"You've got me, pardner" :
Fixed. My apologies for all ya native speakers, I didn't mean anything bad..
Depends...whose side are you on?
I figured it was an english as a second language thing. Hard to offend anyone with "civic", but I suppose you could find someone....

I just press the button and the camera goes CLICK. :dunno
Canon: gripped 20d and 30d, 10-22 3.5-4.5, 17-55 IS, 50mm f1.8, 70-200L IS, 85mm f1.8, 420ex
sigma: 10-20 4-5.6 (for sale), 24-70 2.8 (for sale), 120-300 2.8
Rare opportunity to shoot totally strange people right in the face and get a smile in return.
I guess I need to replenish my business cards collection I have less than 20 left.. Darn it, so little time...
Business wise: who has an idea how to promote yourself on event like that w/o spending thounsands of bucks on a flying zeppeling with your site URL? I mean you can't possibly hand out cards to everyone remotely interested... And I don't have a stand or banner, and won't be able to scramble one in two weeks...
All ideas are welcome!!
JK :-)
I saw these reenactments on TV and in movies, but never saw one IRL.
With the location being less that 10 minutes away I can't let this opportunity slide...:):

As for promo... how about a t-shirt with you URL and telephone number on the back? (it's cheap and quick)

Seems like it should be open for public. We got a flyer from school.
Is that it' spossible to get there, otherwise why would they invite the residents..
Same about pictures..
T-Shirt - cool idea..:-)

I'm going on Saturday around 10 am, with my youngest (13 yo), who hopes to get an extra credit for this in social science at school : and also is an aspiring photographer:-)
Anybody wanna join?
Of course many people will take pictures but selling them may be another matter all together.
If it's a civic event organized and produced by the city then all is fair game.
I might (might) be able to come up.

Pretty good chance that we could join you. My son got bribed with the same extra credit.
I'll let you know tomorrow if it's firm.

As I mentioned before, our plans is to arrive around 10 am, scount the terrain, take the closeup pictures (me), do some school research (Helen), have a bit around 11:30, then set at a good vantage point at noon and enjoy the battle scene.
My boss let me use his 100-400L again:-)
