I've been finding that some people are finding my website via google. Now that's a wonderful thing of course except that at times, its sending them to a gallery generated from a keyword search instead of a set gallery or homepage.

Does anyone know how I can stop this from happening?

I don't have a search bar on my site and haven't set galleries created from keyword searches to match the rest of the site so when someone lands there it looks like a mess.

any help with this would be awesome.

cheers,

There's not a way to prevent Google from doing this - and IMO it's a GOOD thing :) Post in the customizing forum, it's easy to get your keyword pages to look like the rest of your site.

    Hi Lara,

If you keyword photos in public galleries, we'll include those keywords in the sitemap file for your site. That's not something you can disable unless you were to remove the keywords from your photos altogether. Over time search engines should then remove those results.

I'd advise you against removing keyword as this would likely have a negative effect on your search engine ranking.

Personally, I don't mind how people come to my site or how they browse photos. The important thing is that they come and with a landing page tailored to their interests (as in photos matching their search), the better the chance of them staying on the site instead having them leave right away if they can't find what they were looking for in the first couple of seconds.
