Love #1, the smirk on one of the boys, the fixing of the tie motion on the other, and the cool shades on the one on the edge.
There is something I'm always attracted to when shooting a group that stands out walking down the street. I love that kind of scene, yet it rarely happens. I would have been kicking myself had I been there to see these guys and not had my camera.
It's a Reservoir dogs moment and it's real, not fake or reinacted.
I have one such image and it's one of my all time favorites.
I see you worked with difficult light, but it still works.
I'll tell you, I see a group of young men and all I want to do is start shooting. I so love the vibe they can put out. I can imagine what you were hoping for with the first, but the direct stare from the man in the back and the general body language does lead me to the juxtaposition you might have been going for. The second shot is a little to "happy snappy" for me.
#1 is excellent, I can only echo what others have said here, and it seems like you waited for the perfect moment to shoot it. Or got incredibly lucky, but who cares?

#2 feels more scattershot-- needs to be tighter.
And I really enjoyed "Orthodox GoodFellas" how fitting
I see my #2 bit the provebial dust so I'm replacing it with
"Red Lollipop"
