5x7 Cards - Awesome but... cut size???

I just ordered & received last week my 1st set of 5x7 cards. AWESOME!!!
Upon opening the package I was very impressed with the beautiful black box & the card quality is top notch imho. :clap

The problem: I designed & set these up per smugmugs instructions but because smugmug doesn't give a bleed, safe, cut zone but instead only suggests allowing plenty of room... I had to guess. I thought I'd allowed plenty of bleed, trim, safe area for cutting but was surprized that it cut as much as it did... and they way in which it did so. They are usable but look kinda funky all off center.

Here's the prepared file (smugmugs large):

And here's a couple super crappy cell phone pic of what I received (sorry my computer broke so I can't upload good pics right now):

Notice where the cuts are...

What I beg smugmug for: Instructions + A template similar to what overnight prints offers for designing layouts showing the actual file specs, size to submit, bleed & safe zones, approx cut areas, etc... Please??? For reference see the bottom of this page at overnight prints: http://www.overnightprints.com/main.php?A=uploader&new=1&p=pc&s=none

Hmmm... no replies? Does smugmug have a template made already that I haven't found? Does anyone know the specs for the bleed, trim areas? I love the quality of the cards but would really like better than 'just allow enough room' resulting in off center sides. I'd be willing to play with creating a custom template for this but not at my own cost since I'd have to continue guessing till it's correct.

    Hi Cindy,

I'll be working on something over the next few days, but know that you're of course fully covered by the SmugMug guarantee. http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/93275-our-print-guarantee

You'll want to stay 1/8th inch away from all sides. I'm going to be looking at the specs and see if I can come up with a PSD template to make things easier, but want to see things in print before I share anything. I'd love it if you could send me a message at the helpdesk with direct links to the image files you posted above, so I can compare your file sizes and measurements against the photos of the results, to use in my tests. http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/emails/new Just add Attn: SteveM to the subject and they'll get it to me.

    All the best,
