Dirt bike racing
I rarely get out to shoot stuff for fun anymore and my camera is usually pointed at buildings, but last weekend I was asked by a pal to acompany him to a Hare and Hounds dirtbike race. I shot for fun (and got a bit carried away with around 200 shots).
Had a bit of fun with off camera flash in some of the darker areas of the woods, think I remembered why I started taking photographs in the first place! Important to get out for the hell of it sometimes....

and a selection of shots from the day, all shots with D700 and Sigma 70-200 f/2.8

many thanks, yes I've wanted to experiment with off camera flash and sports photography for a wee while now. Works quite nicely and to be honest there really wasn't much choice in the dark woods.
