And it's been pretty cold lately too. Can't decide if I'm gonna get up.
Ian, any ideas? Want to join me?

It's been hit and miss on the coast lately. Not sure where I'd go. Maybe Mt. Hamilton? Dunno.
I have things to do tomorrow which is why I'd be iffy at best.

Maybe I'll take the bike out and check out Mt. Hamilton tomorrow.

Earlier still. Just a few hours away. Just as well we can't see it from here, because it is going to be about 10 degrees F at 4am.

But instead, I'll go the other direction with this one from August in Texas.

It was cool but not quite what I hoped. Oh, and it's 32.8*F and the temp is still dropping
Had to resort to my back-up plan. I wanted to frame the Lunar Eclipse with a local landmark. Didn't work as I thought, so I drove out to another landmark, Lake Yosemite here in town.

It may be to small to really see.
The image is pretty small tho.
I had it on live view and with that you can zoom alot digitally, So pretty much I was chasing it, as it progressed through the view finder lol. I really like the last frame, but need to take out the high lines (power lines).

It shows the Umbra of the Earth, which I had never seen photographed in this way before. Really cool if you like Astronomy.
I bet that was cool though.
I pass by the old place fairly often. I don't give it a second thought
