I would like your thoughts on this, if you will. I will 'fess up if it is not obvious that this is composite and 'shopped, but all are my original images. :)

I have a open (anything goes) mono print competition coming up and think this may be useful for that...What do you think?

I like it, but as long as you're making a composite I'd reverse the
positions of the moon and the owl. I don't like to see a fowl that
is about to run out of flying room.

I like the first one best, make the moon brighter and focus on the owl's face. Also, what would it look like moved about an inch closer together? Just a thought.

Nice work thumb.gif Agree .. the owl needs some space to be flying towards.

In the 2nd photo I see some halos around the subjects. Could be just my computer tho.

I could have a go at that...I have several varieties of this image on Flickr

Thanks. I can't see halos, but you are the second person to mention them. Does it look like I have cut out the owl and bird and laid them on a slightly different colour background, or is it light halos? Trying to get to the bottom of that. Once I decide on a composition, I will "clean up" the Bg anyway, I think to avoid that sort of thing. :)

I don't see halos in the original shot, but I do in the others. Should be easy to fix, I think. I prefer the swapped composition. Nice work. thumb.gif

Right, that explains it, I know what caused it, then. I took the original and roughly cut out the owl and the moon onto other layers to move them around. :)

So, once I settle on a composition, I will go back to the originals and work from there.

    Thanks :)

No problem. I know how to avoid that when I work this image "for real"...glad you noticed them - I may have not seen them and gone to print and they would be there. Cheers
