I like the photo, but I was surprised when the picture popped up after reading the title! I had a double take of the title.

Indeed the title and picture do not line-up. As for the picture, technically OK but seen a thousand times.

Have you ever thought that title and picture can - deliberately - not line up ?
    Why should they ?

Seen a thousand times ? Indeed. Let me be cruel/rude : have you got one ? Or it is so trivial that you do not even have one ?

I have them too, people with bicycles. I guess we all have them. There is nothing wrong with that. It is just so often seen.

So, tell us what the story line is between the title and the picture. I have been looking and looking but don't see it.

Maybe there is just no link between it , but even then you must have had a reason or not ?

    Simple reason.
The brand of the bicycle is Princess. It is written on it's frame.
I could have called it "Atlas Gold Line" but I thought it would be more interesting as the bicycle was/is for him some kind of princess he was able to ride and go with everywhere he wants. :D

    Just a simple thought :Dbowdown.gifbow:D

Yes, I have tried both. However my first Canon was an EOS 420 and at the same time I had Nikon D80.
I started to by glass for the Nikon D80 (FX glass). So after a while I was hang-up on Nikon.
Not because it was so much better then Canon. Later I added the D700 since I had already all the glass for Nikon. Two years ago I got the D3S from Nikon, main reason " very low noise" at high ISO. The Mark 5 (I believe was faster in focusing but not as good as the Nikon on high ISO).

That is the reason for my signature " Canon is an experience , Nikon a lifestyle" .

I have Canon but started with Nikon and Pentax among others. But that was 567 years ago :D

Yep, I would say Canon is the Mercedes and Nikon the BMW ,,,,or visa versa. T hey are both very good. One sticks out here and there, and so does the other.

About BMW and Mercedes I have a clear and precise opinion.

BMW is a car with "soul". A car which gives pleasure to drive.

A Mercedes is a car without "soul". With no pleasure to drive. Just confort. A car for old people.

Does driving a Kia make one cheap?

I can see the catch with the title and now it makes sense but when most people only view an image for 5 seconds or so they need to see the correlation quickly. Not to be mean but as an image it is average and that is ok if one wants to capture a moment in time of something that has meaning to them.

I agree with you regarding the photograph I posted. bowdown.gifD

About the car: any car is good as long as it is safe, reliable and confortable. It all depends of your wallet and the society you are in :D

Jeeze! Way too much philosophy going on here. I immediately liked this image. This boy looks like he thinks he'd like to be perceived as "tough" but he's riding a lady's bicycle and, to make things worse, it's a "Princess." I may be out on a limb here, but I wouldn't be surprised if he does not read english, and has no idea what the brand of the bike is. Maybe the photo would have gotten a more immediately positive reaction in the "Street and PJ" sub-forum.

Lady's bicycle ? So what ? Isn't it good to be ridden ? What are bicycles for ?

And if it is a princess so much the better. It is not everyday one can ride a Princess you know... wings.gif

He may not read English but perhaps he can Indy, his language. Who knows ?

I think that the fact that it is a girl's bike adds something human to this image. It's a pretty spiffy bike for a third world country. Many boys in more affluent areas might not be as proud of a "girl's bike" as this boy is of his!

I saw the correlation within 3 seconds and thought it quite clever! :D I like many things here...the boy's posture, his sandals, his expression, the b&w, the textures, the shapes on the background wall, the round brick structure (what is that?). Nice.
