Keyword (tag) Question and General EXIF

Hi everyone,
Firstly, I note that keywords when imported as part of the upload process, do not retain the original order of the keywords. For example, on my site, http://www.despatchesgallery.com , the keywords are not in the same order as our "source" photos. My two questions on this are:
a) does keyword/tag sort order matter in SEO? My impression is yes, but I haven't found anything definitive over at Google, but if someone knows I'd appreciate the advice!
b) how does the SmugMug backend sort keywords? We can't work it out - it's not alphabetical.
Secondly, in terms of EXIF mapping, is there a definitive list of what fields are/are not mapped? We try to pre-process captioning for example, even at the photographer level, using either the Comments or Caption on the individuals DSLR. We have tried a few experiments/test but it appears the EXIF 2.2 Comment field isn't mapped across to Caption, meaning that captions have to be re-done in SmugMug (well, under our workflow anyway!).
Many thanks in advance, Pete :thumb

The keywords will not be added in the order you upload them in. They appear based on where they are in our database.
The sort order should not affect the SEO, as far as I know.
I think the caption and keyword fields are read from the IPTC data. Check to be sure the appropriate fields are populated.

It would seem, then, that there is possibly a mismatch between EXIF 2.2 and IPTC, and no matter what fields we've tried to populate in EXIF (our backend is a Windows 7 Ultimate platform) for Caption/Comments in Windows gets transferred/traversed to the appropriate field within SmugMug FOR Captions/Author/Comments (in EXIF)
When you say "...where it appears in our database..." we'd like to try and keep our workflow in place as we have a number of contributors, and porting over to SmugMug is a strategic decision I took a couple of months ago. As such, can you advise how your backend maps at upload? For your reference, here's a link which has both EXIF and IPTC:

Once again, many thanks for the helpful and speedy reply - it's much appreciated.
