I'm still working on my main idea for this challenge, but had a happy accident. I made some very interesting hoar frost-like crystals as a byproduct of my project. I left them in the freezer, so my shooting angles were limited. It's supposed to finally get below freezing here tonight. Maybe I can reshoot this outside tomorrow morning.

Whadaya think?

Here is an updated version, while I wait for my original idea to process in the freezer.

Very Nice. I love the Ice branches and the feeling and depth.

Not cold enough... needs a cooler white balance or filter... otherwise great shot...

LOVE. I agree with VX that a cooler color filter would help, but I definitely love the shot.

Thanks for the input. Colder is better. Is this cold enough?

I did pull this out of the freezer this morning to shoot in the cold air. Hah! My frost-free freezer 'ate' most of the crystals, leaving me with just needles. I'm starting from scratch again. Racing the clock!

I like it very much. And yes, the 2nd one feels a bit cooler and seems to bring the crystals into sharper focus - in the right places.
