An "accurate" reproduction of a scene and a good photograph are often two different things.

Am I missing something ? These would be good pictures especially the first one for a website or so where one has to say "No" or "Enough".

Heh, well, I don't sell stock. I was doing a Christmas Card shoot. When I walked into the house this little man was having a meltdown.

The hand is in focus, the bokeh is incredible, and the background colors say holiday all over it. ne_nau.gif Success in my book. The only thing I can think of that needs improvement is that the hand is not following the rule of thirds. Totally usable, in the right context - when it come up.

I quick crop would fix the rule of thirds :-). But I'm not sure mom is going to make a card out of that even if it's using classic composition. I do like the the idea of christmas light hostage scene though!

Agreed! I think it should be renamed to "Suggestion of Thirds"... it's not a rule!!

I think having the hand centered says "STOP" or "talk to the hand" even better! And yes, I included this shot in the set presented to the family.

And I did coax some cooperation...
