Hello,

Came across this scene outside of the Blue Mosque in Istanbul. Was drawn in by the unusual-to-me custom of washing your feet after prayer, then thought the repeating columns & shadows would make an interesting photo. What do you think?

That's an eye to see that in the columns/shadows then execute so well.

AND.... I learned something new today! thumb.gif

15524779-Ti.gif This is an excellent shot, but think about waiting till all the men are seated and with their feet up. Wouldn't that be cool?

Well seen, and you did a great job on the exposure in what looks like difficult light.

Excellent shot, great leading lines and it's fortunate that you were able to capture the first two men with their feet up to the faucet which reinforces a sense of repetition in the image, along with the repetition in the background.

    Thanks everyone!

I agree somewhat that returning and waiting for possibly more interesting poses from the people could produce a better scene... But I definitely DID NOT want to camp out here to get more photos.

Here is the second snap I took. The guy in the foreground doesn't look that psyched to be photographed just after praying. I think I'll just consider myself lucky with that 1st shot and leave it at that (especially since it could be a long time before I ever make it back)...
