Making copies?

So - I've got a locked, unlisted gallery and I want to make copies of a selection of those images and show them in another locked, unlisted gallery.

If I "collect" pics they won't show in the new gallery will they, as they're private and unlisted, so I'm thinking I need to make copies, move them and creat a new gallery that way.

If that is the best/easiest way to do it - why is "make a copy" available as a "this photo" option and there isn't a "make multiple copies" option in the "many photos" menu?

A select multiple copies and a move/copy/duplicate option of some sort would be great as I've run into this a couple of time and finally got around to asking about it.
If at first you don't succeed - maybe sky diving isn't for you.

    Hi Wayne,

You're right you will want to use the Tools menu to select "Make a Copy" and repeat this procedure for all images you wish to duplicate. Once you've done this choose "Move to Gallery" from the Tools menu to select the copies and move them to another gallery. Currently there is no option to make multiple copies at once. We do our best to incorporate user feedback to improve the site and our service and even have a thread dedicated to feature requests: https://smugmug.assistly.com/agent/case/95147 When you have a minute please feel free to go to this thread and provide your suggestions or vote on those of others.

Unless I'm only copying a single photo I usually find it (much) faster to upload the photos again to the new gallery.

Thanks for that - I'll log it as a suggestion and good to know I hadn't missed doing it another easier way.

I've got a really early alpha of a way to copy images between galleries if you want to try it. PM me and I'll give you the link. It's really early alpha code, so it may be buggy, but should work.
