onOne is a superb product, and their customer service, webinar, tutorial and exchange programs are likewise superb. The filters will not endanger your image IQ. The interface and some of the tools are a bit clunky, and the application as a whole is heavy on computing resources. It is also expensive. I find it essential to my photography, as is also Nik. I don't as yet have the latest onOne upgrade, I haven't decided if the expense is worth the differences, but I am excited to try their latest set of portrait filters. That would be my main reason for buying the upgrade.

Hi. I bought it. I didn't like it, but they did refund my $ with no questions asked. I reinstalled my previous 5.5 version.

    $99 upgrade
I just got a message from onOne today offering a $99 upgrade - today only:

I had the previous version, but was not going to upgrade to 6.0 as $149 was a bit much. But it was worth it for $99.

Yeah that's tempting. As I said, I was interested in upgrading mainly to get PerfectPortrait, but I had a look at the promo vids and I see that this is a revamp of PhotoTune, which I found useless and hated the results. In terms of filters I don't think PerfectPortrait offers any more than PhotoTune, so I am going to save my $$!

I tried it out, save your money. Use the old 5.5, it's more useful. If you want portrait software, go get portrait professional. It's cheaper and I love to use it.

Hi, Neill. The PerfectPotrait was disappointing to me. Face recognition was erratic, and merely opening a photo into it altered white balance and color (despite whatever preference settings I configured).

@ Mark and Tom, yes I agree, PerfectPortrait is just the old awful PhotoTune with a different name, and the face "recognition" creates more work than it saves!!
