Went with the wife hiking last month just after peak colors for a nice 10 mile hike to Ranger Falls in Savage Gulf. About 3.5-5 miles in and kept on going for a large loop back around. Mid day hike but brought my camera and tripod as well to see what I could grab. Not too much time for any critical work but nevertheless managed to capture a few decent ones and thought I would share.

Looking down into the Gulf towards the old saw mill.

A little further down the trail, a view of the Gulf from Stone Door.

Looking back at the falls. Interesting about these falls is that there is no escape for the water except back into a cave behind the falls. Didn't grab any perspective shots this time but did manage to in late summer. May post those at a later time.

And hiking back out of the Gulf up to Alum Gap. Nice contrast in colors.

Lots of fall foliage pics from local parks highlighting the changing of the colors but have been unable to really do any PP due to a computer crash last month and being generally overly busy this fall/early winter. Hope to have some up in the coming weeks.

enjoy!
