Foggy Tucson Morning

I shot this one this morning after the fog rolled through my neighborhood and settled into the valley over Tucson. The view is looking South with the Santa Rita mountains in the background.

Nicely capture Brad. Not sure the foreground does much but distract the eye and would suggest cropping out the trees to simplify the composition.

Thanks Eyal,

I went back and forth on that myself. To me the foreground gives an indication that this was taken from the foothills that were clear of the fog. With the foreground cropped out it ended up looking more like a shot taken from an airplane to me.

I appreciate your input.

It certainly would work both ways but I do like the feel of elevation that the trees and buildings help provide. Cool shot.

This version is cropped a little more but still leaves some perspective. Any better?

I mostly had a problem with the foreground on the left side. I actually really liked the palm trees as they gave a sense of scale to the whole scene. The huge bush overwhelmed them and made that side of the foreground feel 'heavy' for lack of a better term.

OK fine, I'll walk down there tomorrow with my chain saw and cut down that bushy tree. The neighbors won't be happy but I'll tell them it was your fault.

While you're at it, plant some more palm trees on that side
