Holloween Party with new glass.

I have been reading about some of these fast primes from you folks for a long time now, and today I happened to be in my local camera shop. I noticed a used Nikon Nikkor 50mm AF 1.4 on the shelf and asked to see it.

I liked it, I bought it.

I went to my company holloween party tonight and took my D100 with the new lens on board. Almost all of the shots I took tonight were with the 50mm, and a SB800 flash unit on a stroboframe flash braket.

I was pretty please with the fast focus, I did fudge a couple recomposing with the narrow depth of feild, but I liked the Bokeh as well. Pretty smooth.

This is Mrs Greaper. She was the cutest witch in attendance.

This is one of the company owners. His oral hygein seems to be slipping lately.

This is my long time co-worker and mentor. He can be a hoot.

This is the other company owner... He needs help...

Thanks for looking

    Greaps,

Congrats on the lens. Nice shots, party looks like fun. The highlight, however, was getting to see what your better half looks like.

    :D

She doesn't let me take her photo often. I was commenting on your post, and when I finished I noticed the comment on this one... kinda funny.

The party was fun. You always have one guy dressed in drag to liven things up.

And some dress so far out of character that you can hardly believe it.

This guy is a hard working farm boy, pretty conservative.
