Where are these related keywords coming from?

Hi all, have a look here:

http://www.despatchesgallery.com/keyword/chris%20leman#1635406290_f7svxp6

See all those related keywords? Well, they're not in the tags EXIF field, so I'm wondering how they are occurring. When you click them to add to the search, it returns 0 results.

I've previously asked for the mapping of EXIF fields to the SmugMug fields before, but that hasn't been forthcoming.

Any advise greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Pete

It looks like the keywords are coming from your images since it's referencing the name of the camera "Nikon f100" and "shot at 640". Please check your camera data and see if that's where those related keywords are coming from.

Hi Kevin and thanks for the reply - I had already checked all the EXIF info and that doesn't exist anywhere that I can find. My only thought is that when I uploaded these originally, that the EXIF data may have contained those keywords/tags, however, I have since deleted the gallery, then cleared tags, and re-uploaded to a different gallery.

I have even tried clearing the tags within SmugMug - no joy there either

The only thing that did not change is the original filenames? Maybe the backend database keeps the tag/keywords and matches them back somehow?!?!?!?!

    Pete,

Related keywords usually show if photos from the current keyword gallery you're viewing also have other commonly used keywords. That way you can narrow down keyword results.
The fact that clicking on those keywords returned 0 results, indicates that you probably had removed said keywords and the indexing just hadn't fully updated yet. That can take a few days.

Hi Sebastian and thanks for the information. That would seem to explain it IF the scenario I mentioned occurred. I'll keep my eye on it over the next week or so and see if the "issue" remains. Thanks again, Pete

Sebastian - hi again - have rechecked this related keyword issue and it's still the same (9 days later). Any suggestions? Thanks!

Pete, I've passed this on to our QA team for further investigation.

Thanks Sebastian! It is somewhat of a mystery to me but I'm sure the QA team will explain it suitably!
