Maroon Bells

Yet another shot of Maroon Bells. Taken last September. The trees were just starting to change color.

    Joe,

    I like the clouds and color as well as the snow on the Bells. However the picture has some significant softening, blurring of detail, especially throughout the trees. Not sure what happened there. What were you shooting with?

    Agree with Derek, there are some strange artifacts, particularly down the valley. Was this an HDR? Nice image otherwise.

    No HDR. I'll have to go back and look at the original and possibly re-process.

    I couldn't seem to improve the picture at all. Looking at the exif data, I had the iso set for 800 (from the evening before) and the lens at it's widest zoom. I seem to recall I took it on a tripod with shake reduction turned on. I reposted with this photo which includes Maroon Lake.
