Cannot access SM after setting up my domain

Hello!

I am a new SM user and this is my first post here. I spent the better part of yesterday customizing a site to see if I wanted to make the switch to SM. I had previously been hosting a WordPress site through HostGator at www.stevengrayphoto.com. I decided to take the leap today after seeing the benefits to SM Pro especially from a blossoming business standpoint. I wanted to keep my domain name (which I bought through GoDaddy a few months ago) so this is what I did:

In the GoDaddy Domain Manager I clicked 'Set Nameservers' and selected ' I want to park my domains' to get rid of the HostGator nameservers that were in place. I was then able to go into the DNS Manager and set A Host @ to 208.79.45.23 and under CNAME I set www to domains.smugmug.com. I left TTL at the default of 1 hour. I then went to my SM control panel and set my domain to www.stevengrayphoto.com. I then went to www.stevenggrayphoto.com in my browser and everything appeared to be working great. This was about 2 hours ago. However, I've only gotten my new SM site to load 3 or 4 times since; every other attempt lands me back at my old WordPress page. TO make matters worse, if I try to log in to my smugmug domain (stevengrayphoto.smugmug.com) I am redirected to www.stevengrayphoto.com, which again, lands me back at my old site. GoDaddy now lists my name servers as NS65.DOMAINCONTROL.COM and NS66.DOMAINCONTROL.COM instead of the old HostGator servers, but it is not working, and I've never had a DNS propagation take this long with GoDaddy. I did notice that when I click Set Nameservers now it defaults to 'I have a hosting account with these domains' no matter what I choose, and despite the fact that I do not have a hosting account with GoDaddy. Not sure if this is significant or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's a little disconcerting to make the monetary leap and then lose access all together!

Thanks!

-Steve
