Carrot Halva is a dessert that comes to us from India. Delicious! It's very mild without being too sweet. I describe is as a warm carrot breakfast cereal.

This recipe is from Bal Arneson's show, The Spice Goddess: http://www.cookingchanneltv.com/recipes/carrot-halva-recipe/index.html

C&C appreciated.

The photography is really good. I've got to ponder on the dish itself. I can handle the carrots...the raisins, though, give me a little pause. I'm most interested, however, in what that oil ( ? ) is in the spoon. Whatever it is, is it consumed along with the carrot dish?

    Thank you, Tom.

That's honey in the spoon. It's one of the ingredients. I hadn't thought that it'd look like oil, though, of which there is none in the recipe. It's very good; mildly sweet (great for diabetics, like me), very low in fat and loaded with vitamins.

    Howdy Lee,

    Merry Christmas.

Looks really tasty, My Mom used to make a type of sweet slaw using
grated carrots, raisins, and milk, served cold. Ah, Childhood Memories.
    Take care,
