Photography and Photoshop Books

I'm sure this has probably been covered here at some point. My cousin has my camera for a little while so I figured this would give me a good chance to do some reading up on different techniques not just with photography but also with photoshop. As a professional Graphic Designer I do a lot of photo manipulation and some enhancing but I want to learn more. I looked at Greg Gorman's Website and thought about his processes, not just what he looks for in a photograph but also his techniques. I would just like to know from some of the "pros" (and amateurs like me) what some good books are that you all have used that cover techniques with a camera as well as techniques with photoshop. What books have helped you get to where you are and what books would you recommend. Things including color enhancement, image enhancement, advanced Photoshop technique, advanced photography technique, different color treatments in photoshop, THE WORKS!!! Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance!!!

Bryan Peterson's "Understanding Exposure" is an outstanding book. He explains exposure in incredibly simple, effective terms and illustrates his discussion with his great photos.
