Maine Sunsets and Woods - New Version

I reprocessed these shots yesterday, using LAB color in PS CS4. Would appreciate any thoughts on these shots. The sunset shots are from a series you've seen before. The third is from my same shooting trip but has not been posted. Thanks, Lauren

    A little more detail in the shadows of #1 & #2 would be good. I know in PSE its adjusted in adjust lighting>highlight and shadows

    Very nice shots, Lauren. Colors in the second one are amazing. I agree about bringing up the shadow details in the first two.

    I was able to coax a bit of detail in the shadows of #2 but ran into lots of noise. How does it look? Could not do anything with #1.

    Any thoughts on #3?

    I like what you did with #2. Number 3 is ok. What happens if you change the white balance to like a shade or cloudy?
