Many of you know I'm part of a group of folks who are military history buffs of sorts. One of them forwarded me this link containing a body of work from the Russian army perspective during WWII. I found the images both singularly, and as a body of work, to be quite intriguing.
Are they stellar images or not? And if so, is it due to composition, B&W, story, nostalgia or some other factor?
Not for the faint of heart for a few, yet history is what it is and this isn't sugar-coated.
