Nice shot, you must have a really good camera. That's the one I always get. :bluduh

Oh, and that's a really weird shot, Alex. Good work. I wouldn't even know where to begin to do that.

I've never heard of a camera that takes that type of picture, Alex. You have clearly mastered your gear! rolleyes1.gif

I'll go a different route, I just purchased one of those hair blower thingies and a few combs. I'm now gonna be a beauticion. Gonna ask all my friends to come over and charge them a very small price just to get started. I'm sure my new cuts will be just as good as those large salons that charge and arm and a leg. I'll be rich in no time................................Oh, just was told I need a license, got to pay for rent, heat, electricity, computer hook up, computer, insurances, taxes etc. Oh well its just gonna be under the table anyhow, I won't hurt anyone.

HAHA Charles. Good ones. Sometimes when I feel a bit smug, I reply with "If you met Michelangelo, would you ask him what kind of paint brush he used when he painted the Sistine Chapel?"

Call me a contrarian (or worse, I don't care), but why exactly are we upset when someone asks us what kind of camera we use? If people didn't want to emulate professionals who they admired, Nike wouldn't have made zillions with Jordan (and hundreds of athletes who followed him), Canon & Nikon wouldn't have sponsored photographers, etc. Just be glad that someone thinks you're worthy of copying. And if they're good enough to actually pull it off (with or without the same gear that you use), then good for them. I use an old Canon 5D, by the way.

Good point Brett. I didn't mean to sound like a total dick. It was really more of a joke than anything. Most times the questions doesn't bother me and as you say, I take it as a compliment. However, every now and again, I do get a little peeved by it, and I think it has more to do with the person asking the question, not as much the question itself.

I used to teach and like many of you I was asked that same question 100's of times... I would often carry a disposable camera with me and when asked the question I would whip it out (the camera I mean):) and take some portraits with it... then toss it to one of the students along with a $10 and tell them to go have it processed...
You all know the lesson learned... It doesn't matter what camera I use...
That;s my favorite response to the age old question...<img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6029383/emoji/thumb.gif" border="0" alt="" > I loved the looks on their faces when they would see the prints... I would call the disposable my back-up camera.....haha

Beginners loose track of what really is important.....its not the equipment but what we all have about 10 inches behind the camera. Think of the georgous portraits and scenics taken 60 years ago with, by todays standards, rudimentary equiipment.

After seeing the results of your camera it looks like there are some serious internal issues. Some type of sensor deformity or maybe lens abnormality?

At any rate if you can scam someone into give you good money for your camera you could go out and buy a Canon with the coveted white lenses.

Case in point, my d-100 generates MUCH more income than my d-700. Why? The d-100 is used in conjunction with a business model. The d-700 is used to take the "good" pictures.

Cuban, sorry dude, but all I can think of when I look at that image is "Acid Trip" and I've not even been on one. :)
