Snowy Blue Pool

Hello all. We rarely experience heavy snowfall in Tennessee. Last year we received an unexpected snowfall that stuck briefly, then melted away within hours. It was truly a photographer's scramble! This photo was taken below Rutledge Falls, a private property in Tullahoma, TN that is left open for the enjoyment of the public. It was gorgeous down there!
Thanks for viewing. C&C always welcome.

Natalie, I enjoyed the rock crawlin' photos in your gallery.

Great first post. Good for you for getting out into the snow while it lasted.
Dumb question, but is this a B&W conversion or full color?
Cheers,

It is a full color shot with a high contrast treatment making the rocks and trees look almost black. The clouds had broken somewhat and the sky had given the water a weak blue color. I liked the way the blue water looked against the almost B&W surroundings and (feeling artsy and just a touch rebellious) added just a bit more blue tint in post. I thought it made it look like a place where fairies might hang out in the winter (not that I'm really big on fairies or anything...), and initially named it "Blue Fairy Pool". I later dropped that name in favor of "Snowy Blue Pool" for everyday gallery use.
