DSS#92 Do any of these work better?

Since turning your monitor over to see the effect of the illusion is somewhat impractical, I've taken SeascapeS earlier suggestion to do a "side-by-side." I also tried a version without the busy background and I'm looking for feedback.

Preferences anyone?
Are the arrows necessary or helpful at all?
Is the side-by-side approach better than the original?
